Mercedes Shows How to Market To Millennials
Getting Young Adults to Buy a Benz
The second biggest name in luxury automobiles has had some old troubles with marketing to younger audiences while still maintaining its prestige. Fortunately, more recently Mercedes-Benz has made some serious progress using social media influencers.
Taking the marketing out of their own hands and using sponsored popular social media personalities has been the perfect solution for maintaining the brand’s luxury image and expanding its market to younger consumers.
While you may not be the next sponsored video maker, you’ll want your Benz to look its best, so click here and get some sexy new rims.
One big challenge for most luxury brands today is how to appeal to a younger demographic without losing the extravagant feel of the brand. For Mercedes-Benz, that means creating compelling content on social — especially collaborating with influencers — to amplify what the brand is and why millennials need a Mercedes-Benz.
This year, Mercedes-Benz initiated a program called “MB Photo Pass” where it’s working with videographers, photographers and around 25 social media influencers like @loki_the_wolfdog across Instagram, Facebook, Snapchat, Pinterest and YouTube. Continue Reading

Mercedes Unveils Plans for Unique Electric Line
Mercedes Benz’s New Concept Electric Cars
The German auto-maker has finally revealed its plans for a new line of Mercedes-Benz cars that feature entirely new and unique models for their electric cars. Previously Mercedes has been refitting old models with electric engines, so this is a wonderful new change of style that comes with a 310 mile drive range.
Click here for all of your electrical needs for your Mercedes-Benz.
Bloomberg reports that Mercedes is working on its own lineup of electric vehicles to take on BMW and Tesla, and the German automaker will introduce a sub-brand to market them under.
Mercedes is currently developing two electric SUVs and two sedans and at least one of those vehicles will debut at this year’s Paris Motor Show. Previously, Mercedes CEO Dieter Zetsche confirmed that an electric car would be unveiled in late September in Paris.
Up until now, Mercedes has outfitted existing models with electrified powertrains, unlike what BMW did with its i sub-brand, which is comprised of two entirely new models separate from the rest of the lineup. Continue Reading

The Mercedes Beast of 2017
The Coolest Mercedes You’ll See this Year
If you hadn’t yet heard of or seen the Mercedes-AMG GT S, you should go look at some of the preview images of it floating around the net and then get back to me. Now that we’re all familiar, let’s remember that it’s a Mercedes and not a Jaguar or Porsche.
This monster is an outlier from Mercedes typical brand line, but that doesn’t mean it should be overlooked. It sports a whopping from the factory 193 MPH speed limit, zooms from 0 to 60 in 3.7 seconds, and the ground hugging center of gravity will ensure you fly down the road and feel the G forces of every wild turn. With a price tag hanging just a bit above $130,000, it’s no cheap ride – but certainly a good pickup for any sports car enthusiast.
Now considering few of us in the states can get away with maxing out that amazing top speed, and likely will never get a good chance to race it, it might be best to invest on overhauling your current Mercedes with a new top of the line Engine and reworking your suspension to get that low to the ground racer feel. You’ll thank me later when you’re not burning a gallon of gas every 18 miles.
The Mercedes-AMG GT S is not the car many expect from the tri-star folks. Far from the opulent S-Class and tot-toting GLS S.U.V., the two-passenger GT S clearly says “let’s race.” It’s speaking directly, and confidently, to the Audi R8 and Porsche 911.
“Something wicked this way comes — in yellow,” said an observer, gazing at the Mercedes simmering along the roadside. Indeed, this machine — replacing the longer gullwing SLS — cuts a seductive and menacing figure. The AMG Solarbeam paint on the test model I drove does look suitably wicked. I salute those extroverted souls who choose it over white or silver.
This is not an automobile for the masses, given prices that begin at $132,125. But that’s a bargain of sorts considering it is about 70 grand less than the asking price on the less-sophisticated SLS it replaces. Continue Reading

Daimler Invests over One-Billion Euros on New Mercedes Factory
Second Benz Factory Coming to Hungary
Mercedes has seemed to been relatively impervious to a hard market for auto makers, with low sells plaguing the market. The German fine auto producer has been running away as one of the sole car makers with positive growth rates, and now has invested a grand sum of money in a new Hungarian location for their new factory.
It’s yet to be clarified what exactly will be made at this new site other than that it will be producing a variety of automobiles. Speculation leads us to believe this may be a new site for Mercedes to expand its Hybrid production line as they intend to incorporate a few new models into this line by the end of next year. Another good possibility is that this factory will be a primary location for their fully electric cars coming in the near future as Mercedes does intend to have a wide range of models for their fully electric line, which means that the flexibility of this new factory’s technology could be fully utilized in production.
While it’ll be a while before you can reap any fancy new toys from this new factory, you may as well click here and get an up to date engine in your current Mercedes to keep you happy while you wait.
Daimler, the parent company of Mercedes-Benz, will invest one billion euros ($1.11 billion) to build a second manufacturing plant in Hungary. The factory, which will start producing vehicles by the end of the decade, will create 2,500 new jobs, the automaker says.
This is the second investment Daimler has announced this year for its Hungarian site in Kecskemet, a city approximately 56 miles from Budapest. In April, the company said it would invest around 580 million euros ($647.6 million) to expand and upgrade its existing plant, which produces compact cars.
The decision to build a second plant in Kecskemét suggests Daimler’s bet on Hungary, a country with lower wages than Germany and other European countries, is paying off. The company spent more than 800 million euros (at the time about $1.07 billion) to build the initial plant there—its first new factory in more than a decade. Continue Reading

Diesel-Gate Delays Mercedes Diesel models
New Diesel Benz Models Delayed
Due to the huge scandal involving Volkswagen cheating regulations for emissions, Mercedes Benz Diesel models will be delayed by a year before finally hitting the market sometimes in the middle of next year. It’s not just bad news for these two manufacturers, but for all of Europe’s auto manufacturers.
Volkswagen slipping their diesels past emissions testing has been a hard hit for themselves as well as their peers. The good news is that because of this scandal, the consumer eventually wins in the end as we will be brought better standards for our wait.
As we will all be waiting for a while, click here and check into affordable new Mercedes Benz diesel fuel system parts.
Dieselgate was Volkswagen’s mess, but that mess has spread to other automakers. Thanks to the resulting industry scrutiny, Mercedes-Benz has to delay the arrival of its C-Class diesel and other oil-burning luxury vehicles. What was supposed to arrive this year will now be here next year…hopefully.
While it should have landed at dealerships in the first quarter of this year, the Mercedes-Benz C300d will eventually make its way to the showroom sometime in 2017, Automotive News reports. The diesel variant of its new GLC-Class crossover will also be delayed.
There’s no firm release date for either. Mercedes-Benz didn’t immediately reply to our request for comment, but it did tell Automotive News that the C300d won’t show up until around mid-year, but that’s only an estimate. Currently, it’s selling just one diesel model — the GLE300d, formerly known as the M-Class. Continue Reading

Mercedes Postulates: Cars Can Grow on Trees
Will Cars of the Future be Made of Wood?
While yet to have a release date, Mercedes Benz has given us a sneak peak at the Alpha, the first wooden chassis car of their line. The concept of making cars from wood might be raising many a skeptical brow, due to such things as deforestation and the material making a stand in for modern metal alloys. Perhaps this skepticism in the market is why we’re so far off from seeing this come to the market. However, Mercedes does offer some wonderful concepts with this new technology concept.
As it stands right now, trees are being genetically modified to grow faster than ever, and mixing that with centuries of tree shaping techniques, there is plenty of plausibility in growing some complex components out of wood so long as the structure is properly engineered for the stress that the genetically modified wood can handle, which is a lot more than people seem to be criticizing it for considering normal woods are already notably rigid.
Whether or not the Mercedes Alpha will come within any reasonable time span, it seems the auto-manufacturers greatest trial with this concept would be selling the concept to a market that has had iron and steel manufacturing since the Model-T, but perhaps the lighter material weight of the Alpha can contribute to an excellent gas mileage, or impressive range of travel should Mercedes go the electric route.
Nevertheless, seeing as there aren’t any wooden parts yet, if you want to start saving up for the wooden car of the future, you should look into tuning up your Mercedes Benz rather than buying or leasing a new car every couple of years. What makes getting your tune-up parts from our selection easier to save up for an awesome grown wooden car is that we offer a ten percent discount on everything that we offer.
When we imagine an automotive production line, we think of mostly metal parts being put together down an assembly line. The Mercedes-Benz Alpha concept challenges this modern manufacturing style by introducing an entirely new production method.
What if you could GROW your Mercedes?! That’s the idea behind the Alpha. It’s two-part wood frame/chassis is thoughtfully formed from the second a seedling is planted. Using age-old grafting and tree-shaping techniques, entire genetically modified, fast-growing groves could be shaped to efficiently produce the vehicle’s various components in an eco-friendly way. After harvesting the pre-shaped timber, each section can be carved to the appropriate shape to form parts of the frame.
With this technique, nature itself becomes the cleanest, most efficient manufacturer without any artificial and polluting production processes. In fact, the trees are clean air contributors while they grow. Furthermore, the final production unit’s electric power brings its total carbon footprint down to almost zero. Continue Reading

Shopping Tip for Automated Automobiles
Looking for a Car to Drive (Itself) Around?
In a market saturated with the fancy new technology, it’s easy to get lost in the white noise of technical terms that have very little meaning. That is why above all when shopping for new automated/self driving cars, you should look into test driving before you buy. Each manufacturer, each engineer, and each car has its own style and degree of automated support.
For drivers not yet ready to invest in the emergent automated cars, click here and invest in a smoother ride in your current ride.
Last week, two big milestones in autonomous driving slipped by almost unnoticed.
One had to do with a commercial by Mercedes-Benz for the new E-Class. The car lets you drive without holding the steering wheel or using the accelerator and brakes for short periods (but also at very high speeds). However, they decided to pull the ad to avoid any confusion with fully autonomous cars from Google and other companies.
The other big news item had to do with a Tesla statement about the accident that killed a Model S owner in Florida. The company says the automatic brakes were to blame for the accident, not the somewhat poorly named AutoPilot mode that steers, brakes, and accelerates automatically. It’s a war of semantics. Mercedes Beats Tesla to First Electric Semi-Truck
Race to Electric Truck Rigs is Over
Mercedes breaks out the upset of the century as they whip out the world’s first fully electric semi-truck just a week after the Tesla press conference in which they announced that they were working on a similar project. This upset is sure to be a major blow on Tesla’s reputation as the go-to high end E-car manufacturer as Mercedes encroaches further into the smaller companies market.
And in a world more concerned than ever about carbon footprints and the nature of pollution, it makes sense that the auto industry titan moves in to become the dominate force of the E-car market.
While we wait for the S-Class Electric Limo to be revealed, click here and keep your car’s electrical components fresh.
Daimler isn’t about to let Tesla own any more ‘firsts’ in electric transportation; the German company revealed the Mercedes-Benz Urban eTruck today in Stuttgart, an all-electric truck with a total admissible weight capacity of 26 tonnes (29 U.S. tons), which makes it the first clean energy big rig of its kind.
As the name implies, it’s designed for use in urban environments, capping off the short-sprint end of the heavy transport shipping cycle. That’s in part due to its max range of 200 kilometres (about 124 miles). The prototype Urban eTruck is ready for its close-up, but Daimler notes that we’ll have to wait until a “conceivable” launch window of “the beginning of the next decade” for wide-scale production and real-world use. Own a Reliable Benz for Under $3000
Mercedes Benz Ownership Doesn’t Have to be Expensive
Freddy Hernandez proves it doesn’t take a fortune to own a Mercedes S-class, but just a little mechanical and market know-how. It’s unfathomable to many to drive a luxury car on the regular as a day to day car to get you around to where you need to be, but Freddy proves it’s possible with a 16 year old S-class that he got for $3000 and has piled on 20,000 miles on since his purchase a few years back.
His secret is in the Mercedes Benz S500 which has a plethora of amazing features making it an excellent luxury car, but due to one easily fixable problem the car has plummeted in price over the years to be a ludicrously affordable car that will give a Civic a run for its money in almost every single category you could put the two in.
The only reason it matches the average aftermarket Civic in price is due to a critical fault that can cause the entire car to become water damaged in some ways you’d never heard of in modern cars. But this fault can be fixed by following simple online guides, and every other issue can be solved by buying replacement parts by clicking here and reading up on maintaining your Mercedes model.
Whenever I see a 1998 Acura Integra with a cursive decal on the front window saying “Daily Driven,” my reaction is a curt “Yeah, no shit.” However, if you own a heavily depreciated and insanely complex luxury car like I do, the prospect of driving it daily on a shoestring budget becomes exponentially more interesting, if only to outline how many things have gone wrong over the years.
For the last two years, I’ve owned a 2000 Mercedes-Benz S500. When it was new and Y2K was deemed a legitimate threat for people who didn’t understand how computers worked, it cost more than $100,000 in today’s money. It had more than 200 patents filed in its development, had a fiber optic audio system, double-paned windows, massaging seats, and it served as the flagship for the Mercedes-Benz brand, taking over the mantle of the tank-like W140 chassis.
Fourteen short years after its build date, I purchased it for a miserly sum of $3000. Continue Reading
